National Kayaking Marathon

National Kayak Marathon 2006

The Singapore Canoe Federation invites all affiliates to participate in the National Kayak Marathon 2006 on Sunday, 19 February 2006, 9am at Lower Seletar Reservoir.

The races shall be divided into six categories. To be eligible for the Junior categories, a competitor shall be 18 years old as at 1st January 2006.

1)	Junior Men (18 years old and below)	T1, T2, K1 and K2
2)	Junior Women (18 years old and below)	T1, T2, K1 and K2
3)	Senior Men	T1, T2, K1 and K2
4)	Senior Women	T1, T2, K1 and K2
5)	Master Men (35 years old and above)	T1
6)	Master Women (35 years old and above)	T1

There will be one portege point for all the K class events of about 150 metres. The estimate distance for Senior Men will be 36 kilometres and the rest of the categories will be about 28 kilometres.

Besides medal for the top 5 positions (subject to the number of entries), cash and attractive prizes from sponsors also await the top paddlers at the K class event.

The entry fee for affiliated member/school is $20 per participant and non-affiliated member is $30 per participant. A refund of $5 will be given upon returning of your bib number or number plate.

Final Entry Form with name must be duly completed and with entry fee (make cheque payable to "Singapore Canoe Federation") must be send to the following address not later than 15th February 2006, 1930 hrs (closing date).

Team manager meeting will be held on the abovementioned date and time at Kallang Water Sports Centre. Attendance is compulsory as number plates and bib number will be issued.
