Coach Affiliation Scheme

The Coaching Committee aim to put in place and maintain a register of coaches under the Coaches Affiliation Scheme. In striving to achieve quality coaching, all accredited coaches are encouraged to register.

Why register?

The Coaches Affiliation provides:

• an audit trail to coaches' coaching background, training and ongoing personal development
• a good reference source when trying to identify coaches
• a network of qualified and experienced coaches
• contact with the various disciplines of the sport
• coaches endeavour to keep up to date the ensure that training and assessment standards are maintained

Who is eligible to register?

Coaches who has obtained the following requirements:

• Coaches who had gone through coaching conversion conducted by Singapore Canoe Federation, Outward Bound Singapore and PA Sea Sports Clubs.
  
  
• Coaches who had obtained the required pre-requistes
  - holds a current first-aid/CPR certificate
  - completed the required coaching award or equivalent
  - be 16 years of age for assessment
  For Flatwater kayaking
  - completed SSC NCAP theory of equivalent levels
  
  
• Coaches who hold SCF Coaching Certificate
  - coaching conversion conducted by SCF
  Coaching certificate and coach log book will be issued in due course.
  - coaching conversion by SCF authorised centre
  Please refer to the centre where you have attended the conversion. Coaching certificate will be issued through the centre. The cost of coaching certificate for different level as follows:
  # Level 1 - $5.00 per certificate
  # Level 2 - $8.00 per certificate
  # Level 3 - $10.00 per certificate
